TECHNOLOGY / COMPLIANCE / RESPONSIBILITY

Innovation without compromise. Responsibility without exception.

Certain products, systems, software, technical information and technologies offered under the Curro brand may be subject to export controls, sanctions, licensing requirements and end-use restrictions under applicable national, European Union or international legal frameworks.

These requirements may be particularly relevant to advanced security systems, unmanned platforms, counter-UAV technologies, electronic countermeasures, communication systems, surveillance equipment and other technologies with potential civilian, security or defense applications.

This Policy outlines general principles governing the lawful sale, export, re-export, transfer, provision and use of such technologies. Specific requirements depend on the products involved, the destination, the contracting parties, the intended end user and the applicable legislation.

01 / 06

Scope of export control & applicable regulations

01

Products and technologies concerned

Certain Curro products, technical components, software, systems and associated information may fall within regulated categories depending on their characteristics, technical capabilities, intended use and destination.

These may include technologies related to electronic communications, RF monitoring, autonomous systems, navigation, sensing, electronic countermeasures and specialized security applications.

Product classification and applicable restrictions must be assessed individually. Inclusion on the Curro website does not mean that a product is unrestricted or approved for supply to every destination.

02

Applicable legal frameworks

Transactions involving regulated technologies may be subject to export control laws, sanctions regimes, licensing requirements and international restrictions applicable to the parties involved.

Where applicable, relevant rules may include Regulation (EU) 2021/821 concerning dual-use items, European Union restrictive measures, national legislation and other applicable international obligations.

The applicable legal framework depends on factors including jurisdiction, product classification, destination, end user, intended use and the nature of the transaction.

02 / 06

Export licenses & regulatory verification

03

Authorizations and approvals

The export, re-export, transit, transfer, sale or provision of certain products, software, technologies or related technical assistance may require prior authorization from competent authorities.

Where authorization is legally required, the relevant transaction or activity must not proceed until the necessary approvals have been obtained.

Regulatory requirements may differ according to the relevant jurisdiction, technology classification, destination and intended end use.

04

Responsibilities of contracting parties

Each party involved in a transaction is responsible for fulfilling the export control, customs, sanctions and other compliance obligations applicable to its activities.

The Seller or exporter remains responsible for obtaining authorizations legally required of that party.

Buyers, importers and end users are responsible for their own applicable import permits, operational approvals, end-use obligations and other legal requirements.

No provision of this Policy transfers one party's mandatory legal obligations entirely to another party.

05

Sanctions and transaction screening

Transactions may be subject to verification of the parties involved, relevant sanctions restrictions, destination requirements and declared end use.

Where necessary and legally appropriate, additional information may be requested to establish the identity of the Buyer, consignee, recipient or ultimate end user.

A transaction must not proceed where it would violate applicable sanctions, export restrictions or other mandatory legal prohibitions.

03 / 06

Restricted use & lawful deployment

06

Authorized professional use

Curro products and technologies are intended for lawful professional, institutional, governmental and other appropriately authorized applications.

Buyers and end users must ensure that the possession, installation, operation and use of relevant equipment comply with applicable laws, technical requirements, licenses and contractual conditions.

Certain capabilities may require specific permissions or operational authorization before deployment in a particular jurisdiction.

07

Prohibited and restricted activities

Curro technologies must not be used, supplied or transferred in violation of applicable laws, authorizations or valid contractual restrictions.

Prohibited activities may include:

  • Use in violation of applicable export controls, sanctions or other regulatory restrictions.
  • Supply to prohibited recipients or entities where the transaction is legally restricted.
  • Unauthorized interception, disruption or interference with communications or navigation systems.
  • Unauthorized surveillance or other activities violating applicable privacy, security or human rights laws.
  • Deployment for purposes inconsistent with binding end-use conditions, licenses or contractual restrictions.
  • Attempts to evade applicable legal restrictions through unauthorized intermediaries or transfers.
04 / 06

End-user obligations & technology transfers

08

End-user declarations and documentation

Depending on the product, destination and applicable legal requirements, Buyers or end users may be asked to provide appropriate documentation confirming the intended recipient and use of the technology.

Such documentation may include:

  • Identification of the purchasing organization and ultimate end user.
  • Country of destination and intended deployment location.
  • Description of the intended professional or institutional use.
  • End-user declarations or certificates, where applicable.
  • Relevant licenses, approvals or other supporting documents.

Information supplied for compliance purposes must be accurate and not misleading.

09

Resale, re-export and third-party transfers

The subsequent resale, re-export, transfer, loan or provision of regulated products to another party may require additional authorizations or contractual approval.

Buyers must verify the applicable legal requirements before transferring controlled products or technology to another destination or end user.

Where the relevant contract requires prior written approval for a transfer, that approval must be obtained in accordance with the agreed terms.

Contractual approval does not replace any governmental authorization required by law.

10

Software, technical information and assistance

Export controls may also apply to certain software, technical documentation, controlled information and the provision of technical assistance.

Where applicable, the electronic transmission or transfer of controlled technology may be subject to licensing or other legal requirements, even when no physical equipment is shipped.

Access to such information may therefore be restricted where necessary to comply with applicable law.

05 / 06

Compliance review & transaction decisions

11

Review, refusal and suspension

Curro or the relevant contracting Seller may review proposed transactions where export control, licensing, sanctions or security considerations are relevant.

A proposed transaction may be declined, suspended or made conditional on obtaining necessary approvals where permitted or required by applicable law and contractual arrangements.

Where a transaction has already been contractually confirmed, any suspension, modification or termination remains subject to applicable law and the agreed contract.

12

No automatic license or authorization

Publication of information about Curro technologies on this Website does not constitute authorization to export, import, transfer, deploy or operate any regulated product.

Nothing on this Website grants a regulatory license, export approval or unrestricted right to access or use controlled technology.

Intellectual property rights and permitted product uses are governed by the applicable agreements, licenses and legal requirements.

06 / 06

Legal responsibility & compliance contact

13

Compliance responsibilities and liability

Buyers, partners, distributors and end users are responsible for complying with the legal and contractual requirements applicable to their own activities.

Unauthorized use, transfer or deployment of products may give rise to legal or contractual consequences for the responsible party.

Curro and the relevant contracting parties remain responsible for their own applicable legal obligations.

Any limitation or allocation of liability is subject to the relevant agreement and mandatory legal provisions. Nothing in this Policy excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
